Monday, July 23

What a full day! Take a few moments to reflect about your day:

Describe what you did all day.
Is this what you thought the day would be like? (expain)
What did you learn today? (think about language, culture, Sculture Gardens, relationships...)
What did we do today that you enjoyed? Why did you enjoy it?
What did we do today that you didn't enjoy? Why didn't you enjoy it?

One thing that I learned is that working with kids of different ages is not as easy as I thought it would be. I think the older kids will have more difficult roles tomorrow. I think that the kids with less English speaking ability will have different tasks.

We're really looking forward to the field trips and all of the things we can do at home!! We would always like to be able to speak fluent Chinese, but we know we'll never be as good as you!! See you soon!! From: Cassie, Briana, Danyi, and Justin

When we arrived in Minnesota we noticed there were a lot of trees and clean air. They do not have as many cars in Minnesota as we do in China. People in Minnesota are very friendly so they make us feel warm. Most of the people here like baseball. The Twins baseball team is very popular.
The host families are very friendly. The host families'parents have warm hearts.
Today at Chinese Camp we created a very cool sculpture garden. Everyone had unique ideas and all of the sculptures were different.
